BD,

this is very interesting and thanks. I'll be looking for your e mail. I am a tad confused however....What exactly have you found and why the talking heads? I'd love to check it out but I'm a bit "In the Dark " about this. (no pun intended)

Thanks Bluedevil. I've been off the PC for a few days, beautiful summer weather will do that.

That was pretty funny.

I was going to see Ratdog and Govt Mule this past Thursday but they relocated the show to San Jose and that made it more of a trip than I wanted on a "school" night (and truth be told, I'm not that much of a fan of the "dog"). I guess they've been doing some renovations out there and the venue wasn't ready - haven't been there since Richard Thompson last season. So, not yet.

"I was going to see Ratdog and Govt Mule this past Thursday but they relocated the show to San Jose."

Hey that shootout with the marijuana farmers in Saratoga, was near that Villa Montalvo Winery, where they do concerts. The suspects were last seen running back into the nearby woods by neighbors. The narks resumed their search for those suspects in the next morning. Maybe that's why the show got moved to San Jose?

I don't know the true reason, but this was essentially what my bud told me (from jambands):

RatDog/Mule Move Saratoga Shows to San Jose

RatDog and Gov’t Mule’s joint appearances in Saratoga, CA have been relocated. The two groups will now perform at the nearby San Jose, CA’s Center for the Performing Arts both tomorrow and Thursday, closing out a highly collaborative summer tour. Fans who purchased tickets to either show can exchange their tickets for ones in comparable seat locations at the SJPAC box office beginning at 5 PM day of show or receive a refund at their point of purchase. According to RatDog’s homepage, the shows were moved because “ongoing renovations at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California, have hit a snag and won’t be done in time for our shows (also some Boston – the band - shows this week, too).” Gov’t Mule and RatDog most recently performed together last Thursday at Las Vegas, NV’s The Joint, where RatDog saxophonist Kenny Brooks sat in with the Mule "Sco-Mule."

The fires in California should have a real impact on California's biggest cash crop.
